Dr. Ruth Craggs is a lecturer and researcher in the School of Hospitality Management and Tourism, TU Dublin. Ruth is the Bsc. (Hons) Event Management programme chair. She lectures in event management, tourism and research methods and delivers a range of theoretical and practical event modules at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level including: event planning, event management, event industry studies and event fundraising and sponsorship. Ruth is a dissertation supervisor on the Bsc. and Msc. Event Management programmes. She received her PhD from the University of Salford and has over ten years of experience in event management education including curriculum development, research and teaching. Her research interests and areas of specialism include business tourism, incentive travel, economic and social impact analysis, event and festival funding and consumer behaviour in tourism and events.
