We are honoured to announce that Frankie Sheahan, CEO and Founder of Pendulum Summit, will be the recipient of the 2019 Outstanding Contribution to the Events Industry award.
Launched in 2009, the Event Industry Awards celebrate excellence and showcase the very highest standards in Ireland's event industry. These awards not only acknowledge the teams, companies and clients who contribute to the events industry in Ireland, it is also a much-needed celebration for the outstanding people within the industry.
This award recognises Frankie’s achievement in establishing the Pendulum Summit as a major national and international event and in so doing bringing the world’s most inspirational and challenging thinkers to Ireland is the basis of the recognition.
As Ireland emerged from the financial crisis, the Summit’s role in providing access to the world’s leading thinkers and doers was perfectly in step with that spirit of recovery. The summit has since grown from 600 attendees in 2013 to the north of 7,000 across two in days in 2019, becoming the world’s leading business, leadership, and self-empowerment conference in the process.
This a special award in that the honouree doesn’t apply but is selected from the most inspirational figures from our industry. Past recipients of this award include; Anna May McHugh, Lord Henry MountCharles, Harry Crosbie, Bord Failte and last year Paddy Cosgrave honoured us by accepting the award.
Frankie has also expanded the summit to New York City, holding the inaugural Pendulum Summit New York in September of 2018 in the PlayStation Theatre just off Times Square.
This award acknowledges his success in the events industry during a long and remarkable career.
