A graduate of the Kemmy School of Business in University of Limerick, Karen has an extensive background in business and sports tourism with over 25 years’ experience in the Tourism industry in Ireland and internationally. Having worked in Bord Failte, New York and in hotels sales and marketing roles, Karen moved to the newly formed Shannon Region Conference and Sports Bureau in 2003 and for almost 2 decades, has successfully delivered business in the conference, corporate and sports sector for the Shannon region with strong growth in each sector year on year.

Karen sits on a number of local and national working groups for business and sports tourism.
